OrgReach Zero-Knowledge Privacy Policy

OrgReach (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is committed to true privacy and user control. Unlike most platforms, OrgReach is designed so that we do not have access to your real-world personal information—even your email address or phone number are inaccessible to us after verification. This Privacy Policy explains how this works, what information we can and cannot access, and your rights as a user.

1. Zero-Knowledge and User-Sovereign Identity

  • Your Private Data Stays Private: When you sign up for OrgReach, you provide your real email address and/or phone number only to complete the one-time verification process. As soon as your identity is verified, that information is immediately encrypted and locked away in a private database. OrgReach staff, administrators, and even our systems cannot access your real-world email address, phone number, or any other personal identifying information.

  • No Access by OrgReach: We have no technical ability to see, use, or retrieve your real name, email, phone, address, or any other private data. That information is available only to you, and only you can access or update it.

  • Your Public “ReachTag” Identity: The only information OrgReach can see or manage is your public “ReachTag” username, your chosen profile photo, and any content or preferences you choose to share publicly. This “ReachTag” is not linked to your private identity in any way accessible by OrgReach.

  • You Control All Links: If you ever choose to share your real-world identity with an organization or another user, you do so voluntarily and privately. OrgReach does not facilitate or track these connections.

2. What Information OrgReach Can Access

  • ReachTag Information: Your chosen ReachTag, profile image, and public actions (such as joining causes or channels, supporting organizations, or earning public badges).

  • Non-Identifying Usage Data: Technical and usage metrics such as device type, session duration, and feature usage—none of which are linked to your real identity or private contact info.

  • Content You Share Publicly: Videos, posts, or other content you upload and mark as public.

That’s it. OrgReach never sees or stores your real name, contact details, or any other personal information.

3. What Information OrgReach Cannot Access

  • No Email or Phone Numbers: Even the email and phone number you provide for verification are inaccessible to OrgReach after verification is complete.

  • No Real Names or Addresses: Your legal name, address, and other real-world details are never visible to OrgReach staff or systems.

  • No Messaging or Private Files: Any private communication or files shared with organizations or other users remain inaccessible to OrgReach unless you post them publicly.

4. How We Use the Information We Can See

Since OrgReach only has access to non-identifying public ReachTag data and anonymized technical metrics, we use this information solely to:

  • Provide and personalize OrgReach’s services to you

  • Manage your ReachTag account and public profile

  • Enable public platform features (channels, badges, etc.)

  • Analyze and improve platform performance and accessibility

  • Maintain platform security and integrity

5. No Data Sharing, Selling, or Profiling

  • No Marketing or Promotion: We do not and cannot share, sell, or use your private information for marketing, promotional, or profiling purposes.

  • No Third-Party Access: No outside organization, advertiser, or partner has access to your private data. The only information that may be shared is what you have posted publicly through your ReachTag identity.

6. SMS Messaging and Mobile Information

If you choose to receive notifications via SMS, your mobile number is used only to send those messages. Your number is encrypted and inaccessible to OrgReach after initial verification.
No mobile information is ever shared with third parties or used for marketing or promotional purposes. All other categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties under any circumstances.

7. User Rights and Data Sovereignty

  • You Own and Control Your Private Data: Only you can access or manage your private information (email, phone, real name, address, etc.).

  • Delete or Update: You can update or delete your private information at any time, and OrgReach cannot stop you or access your private data.

  • Public Activity: You may also delete or change your ReachTag and public activity at any time, subject to technical limitations (e.g., preserving the integrity of public posts you have made).

Note: We will never ask for or require your real name, email, or phone number to provide support, unless you voluntarily choose to disclose it for troubleshooting purposes, and even then, we do not retain that information.

9. Non-Discrimination

OrgReach does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, or any other characteristic protected by law.

10. Policy Updates

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy or to OrgReach’s technical architecture that would affect your privacy, we will update this policy and notify users through their ReachTag accounts. We will never make changes that grant OrgReach access to your private data without your explicit, opt-in consent.
